Each time you visit our secure pages (Account, Track Orders, Checkout ) your browser is sent a digital certificate. This certificate securely identifies the site you are connecting to, and is used to establish the encrypted session.
You can confirm your Internet secured session is encrypted by the appearance of a "lock" symbol at the foot of your browser and the address of your web browser will change from "http://" to "https://"
How to Check the Security Server Certificate.
To check the Security Server Certificate, double click on the "lock" image. When viewing the certificate, ensure that:
- It has been "issued to" www.paypal.com
- It has been "issued by" www.verisign.com
- The date specified is in a valid date range
How To Check the VeriSign Seal Validity.
To Check the VeriSign Seal validity, click the VeriSign seal displayed. When viewing the seal, ensure that:
- The site name displayed is "www.verisign.com" or "www.wolfems.com"
- The certification status is "Valid"
- The URL of the displayed seal begins with https://xxxx
